I am so excited to share with you baby Emily’s Newborn Lifestyle session! It was so much fun able to capture this beautiful girl with my camera. Emily was born to Jill and Rod on March 20th 2023. Jill and I had no idea, when I talked to her on Sunday, baby Emily would come the very next day! I was so excited to hear of her arrival and having the honor of taking her photos made the news even more special.
We started the session early in the morning. All of my Newborn Lifestyle sessions start at 9:30 in the morning. I have found 9:30 am to be the best time to start, because lighting is the best and the baby is more sleepy around this time. When I arrived we started the session almost right away. There was a beautiful show room right at the entrance of their home. The room had a grand piano and lots of green plants on the windowsills. Along the wall they had a light colored couch and light colored carpet which made this room perfect for the session. The combination of the light colors and large windows made this room the perfect place to do the session.
I had everyone on the couch to get started. They had a dog named Cookie that wanted to be a part of the session too! I love being able to get pictures of the family with their dog, cat or whatever other animal they have. Cookie was such a loving and sweet dog. You could tell that Cookie loved Emily and was going to be her best friend when she grows up. Anytime I would have the family in a sitting pose, Cookie would nuzzle his way into the pose and photo too. I had so much fun working with this amazing family! What an honor to be a part of this special time!
