Kristin and Mark are so excited to soon be welcoming their third child! The weather for the session was great. We just came out of a hot and humid week. Kristin and I were worried the session will be too hot. Thankfully it was mild and not very humid. This made it the perfect summer afternoon to have a maternity session.
Outfits
What you wear can really affect your images. I send all of my clients my Style Guide. This guide will walk you through how to prepare and how to dress so you look your best. You can read more about what to wear in my What to Wear blog post.
Kristin had a pretty blue dress with white flowers. Kristin said “I really liked that it came in so many colors, affordable, 2 ways to wear it and can be worn pregnant or not!” She got this dress on amazon! Other than the fact that this dress was comfortable and affordable, it was a light color which is so important when picking your cloths. She looked absolutely stunning in the dress!
Maternity Session
Mark and Kristin had a beautiful property that we were able to use for the session. We started on a walking path right behind the house. The path was nicely shaded by the trees that surrounded it.
I always like to start with what I call “the warm up”. This is when everyone holds hands and walk towards the camera. I want all of my clients to feel comfortable during the session. I know how uncomfortable it can be having to stand and smile. This is why I like to get you moving and doing something from the start.
We walked around the yard and got more images in front of the trees and woods. My favorite spot was in the garden. The garden had flowers, tomato’s, a beautiful light colored stone path, and big arches that had plants growing on them. The kids Luke and Lilly were so excited to show me their flowers. We smelled the flowers and picked a few to have in the photos. Then we got some sweet images among the tomatoes with the whole family and Mark and Kristin alone.
Good-Bye for Now
By the end of the session we had gotten so many adorable images. It was hard for me to choose which ones made it into the final gallery. What a gorgeous family! They were so much fun to hang with. These pictures will be great to look back on in the years to come.
